Dinh-Tuan Pham was born in Hanoï, VietNam, on February 10, 1945. He graduated from the School of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (ENSIMAG) of the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble in 1968. He received the Ph. D. degree in Statistics in 1975 from the University of Grenoble.

He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley (Department of Statistics) in 1977-1978 and a Visisting Professor at Indiana University (Department of Mathematics) at Bloomingtion in 1979-1980. He is currently Director of Research at the French "Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique".

Dr. Pham was member of IIS (International Institute of Statistics), IMS (Institute of Mathematical Statistics), AMS. (American Mathematical Society), SMAI (Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles) and IEEE. (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering).
